"Let us remember the past with gratitude, live the present with enthusiasm, and look forward to the future with confidence."

Pope St. John Paul the Great

As 2025 was drawing to a close I found myself working on a project - updating MCG’s written history. This project also offered time to reflect on how our Lord has led our mission to this point. Many faithful hands and hearts coming together over the years, to build this one of a kind mission. In a particular way I reflected on the various sacred vessels and liturgical items periodically added to the mobile sacristy over the years. Each item holding its significance, each blessing of that item brining assurance, and each subsequent use of them thereafter glorifying God. All the while, we did this together with the strength and foresight the Lord provided.

Looking to 2025

As we look forward to what is in store in this new year, we are confident that with your help, our goals will be met, our outreach will increase and our programs will be perfected in efficiency and reverence.

Mobile Sacristy Setup

Key Highlights

A few highlights in this new year is that we set a goal to fundraise enough funds to purchase a pick up truck — the mobile sacristy isn’t “mobile” without one. With a crew of faithful drivers at the ready to take the wheel, a truck will also allow us to commit to more liturgical set ups. One method in which we plan to fundraise is through the inauguration of MCG’s “CCC”, which we will unveil this winter.

In September of 2026 we will also reach a milestone — the 100th JP2 Men’s Group gathering. We plan to bring friends and family together to celebrate the occasion. The Men’s group is where our mission found its roots and today it continues to introduce men into our liturgical service to the Church community.

With gratitude for the past, enthusiasm at the present moment, and confidence for what this new year brings us, we pray through the intercession of JP2 for a safe, successful, and sanctifying new year for our mission.
