The Millennial Catholic Gentlemen’s (MCG) group has been an invaluable service to our Archdiocese, providing all the necessary articles and logistics or celebrating Holy Mass in a variety of settings. I first became aware of their mission several years ago when one of my sons began volunteering at events like John Bosco Youth Day, the Eucharistic Procession at the Cousins Center, and the Catholic Youth Rally. What immediately impressed me was the group’s creativity and dedication — particularly their development of a mobile sacristy capable of transforming virtually any space into a reverent sanctuary for the Holy Mass. Their custom-built trailer, designed to transport all the essential liturgical items, struck me as a work of craftsmanship that could easily be seen as inspired by St. Joseph the carpenter.
Most recently, the MCG demonstrated remarkable resolve and skill during the “Mass on the Mount” with St. Peter Parish in Slinger, held atop the Little Switzerland ski hill. Despite challenging conditions —including steep terrain, strong winds, and extreme heat — the group handled the complex logistics with professionalism and grace, ensuring that the Mass and Eucharistic procession could proceed smoothly and reverently. As the current Secretary on the Board of Directors, I am deeply grateful to serve alongside these devoted young men, who continually respond to God’s call with humility, service, and ingenuity. Their mission is a testament to the vibrant faith and commitment of the next generation of Catholic leaders.
