It is often said that our Mission here at MCG always has us on the move.
Certainly our Mobile Sacristy and JP2 Traveling Monstrance programs give the up-front appearance we are always in motion — which is correct! Similarly, our monthly JP2 men’s group draws men from throughout Southeast Wisconsin who travel on a Monday evening to one location in order to receive the sacraments, and talk the faith with one another.
However, what we do here at MCG, in service to our Church community, is more than just going from point A to point B to get a job done. It’s movement rooted in Faith, an invitation to our members and benefactors to enter a pilgrimage to the summit. If the Eucharist is referred to as the “summit” of our Catholic faith, I then presume a journey is in store for all God’s faithful to begin the ascent. This is where thousands of souls, each too, on the pilgrimage of life, encounter MCG’s mission every year. Ultimately, all our paths meet at the Eucharist.
While our journeys may be different, according to how our Lord has called each of us in our lives, our ultimate destination remains the same, right? It is truly an honor that our mission meets souls of all walks of life where they find themselves. In the spirit of the new evangelization, let’s make every step a pilgrimage and invite others to join us in our ascent to the summit.
